Your Right to Data Deletion
At SmartBiz, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your data at any time following the instructions below.
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@smartbiz.co.ke with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Phone number associated with your account
- Business name (if applicable)
Option 2: Dashboard Request
Log in to your SmartBiz dashboard, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the prompts to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon receiving your deletion request, we will permanently remove:
- Your account information (name, email, phone number)
- Business profile and settings
- Product catalog and images
- Order history and customer data
- WhatsApp conversation data stored on our servers
- Any other personal information associated with your account
Processing Time
We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been permanently deleted.
Data We May Retain
In some cases, we may be required to retain certain data for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes. This may include transaction records and financial data required by law. Any retained data will be securely stored and only accessed when legally required.
